The benefits of permanent hair straightening

The benefits of permanent hair straightening

Despite what we might see in the movies or in the pages of magazines, most women do not have perfectly gorgeous, poker-straight hair; and they certainly don’t wake up with it looking that good first thing in the morning!

For most women, achieving a sleek, straight look takes a lot of styling every morning, which means a lot of product and heat. The results might seem good but putting our hair through this on a daily basis causes damage and we don’t give our hair time to recover.

As well as the damage we’re doing though, it’s also a very impractical and time consuming way of getting the look we want. straightening properly takes upwards of half and hour for some women, and I’m sure we all agree we have much better things to be doing with our time!

Perhaps the main frustration with trying to tame our hair though, is when we get the results we want but all are hard work is undone by bad weather or high humidity. Even sweating will destroy the sleekness and bring back the frizz! It’s infuriating, and impossible to control with out carrying the straighteners around all day long!

But thankfully there is a way of controlling curls and frizz permanently that’s worth considering. Permanent straightening systems have become increasingly popular over recent years and there are a lot of different options on the market.

Different techniques come with different advantages and disadvantages though, and it’s worth doing your research to find the best method for you.

Most methods generally consist of treating your hair with particular chemicals and applying intense heat to seal them in. There are usually a few stages involved such as washing, applying the chemicals and then straightening small sections of hair one at a time to make sure all of the hair is affected.

It can take a number of hours to finish the whole process but afterwards your hair will look and stay straight.

How long the treatment lasts depends on which system you choose, how quickly your hair grows and how well you take care of your hair.

Some treatments last a few months but others can last up to 12 months.

Certain treatments are less harmful than others of course and, again, it’s always important to do your research. Some, like the Yuko system not only tame your hair but also improve its quality by locking moisture into the hair as its being straightened.

Salons use a variety of chemicals and methods so you have a lot of options to consider. Prices also differ depending on the procedure you choose so be aware of cost too.

It might seem like a lot of time and money to spend to have this treatment done but when you consider the time and effort you will be saving every morning a more permanent solution must surely be considered.

It’s never been a more popular request in salons around the world. Celebrities caught on to the benefits a long time ago and now women everywhere can take advantage too and enjoy a little effortless glamor!
